Punam Patel is a Physician Assistant specializing in neurosurgery, spine surgery, and critical care medicine at NeuroSpine Plus LLC. He brings experience in the evaluation and management of complex neurological and spinal conditions across both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a strong focus on patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Prior to joining NeuroSpine Plus, Mr. Patel worked as a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant at Advanced Neurosurgery Associates in Rutherford, New Jersey, where he assisted in the management of patients throughout the surgical process, including consultations, perioperative care, surgical assistance, and postoperative follow-up. He also has extensive critical care experience from his time at St. Francis Hospital Heart Center, where he managed patients across multiple intensive care units and participated in rapid response and emergency neurological and cardiopulmonary care.

Mr. Patel earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from CUNY York College in 2020 after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Economics through Queens College and Hunter College of the City University of New York system. His diverse academic and clinical background has helped shape a thoughtful, analytical, and adaptable approach to patient care.

He is passionate about helping patients better understand their diagnosis and treatment options while guiding them through what can often feel like overwhelming medical situations. Known for his calm demeanor and attention to detail, he values building strong relationships with patients and families through communication, education, and trust.

Outside of medicine, Mr. Patel enjoys fitness, personal development, healthcare innovation, and technology. He is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi.
